Firm Overview

Nearly 70 years ago, the law firm of Coen Wexler and Wentz was founded with the philosophy that our lawyers would strive to create successful, long-term personal relationships with clients and to be good, active citizens in our communities. Evidence of the wisdom embodied in that philosophy is the fact that today, as one of Lancaster's oldest and largest law firms, we continue to serve a full range of sophisticated client needs, whether working closely with individuals, with corporations or with other business entities. Our reputation has grown over the years through a commitment to excellence, thus demonstrating "leadership by example".

Our History.

We continue to enjoy the client relationships nurtured when we began serving our community in 1938. Our steady growth reflects our clients' satisfaction with our performance and allows us to attract and retain knowledgeable attorneys.

Our Experience.

Experience is the product of any service business. Our experience covers a wide range of practice areas that allows us to effectively deal with all of our clients' needs. The firm has worked very hard to attain and retain the Distinguished Very High "BV" Rating awarded by Martindale-Hubbell for legal ability and ethical standards. This rating is awarded based on the results of an extensive confidential review conducted by the legal profession to confirm the status of a highly respected, ethical membership of the Bar Association.

Our Technology.

During the past few years, advances in technology have presented major opportunities for improved cost-efficiency in the law office. Networking provides a central service for all word processing documents, thus eliminating unnecessary duplicating efforts. Using state of the art equipment, the latest Windows-based networking systems, Office Suite applications and the Internet helps our office communicate with each other and our clients. This dramatically improves our attorneys' productively on all levels and actually assists them in winning cases.

Our Commitment.

Whatever the area, be it Business Law, Estate Planning and Trusts, Probate and Estates, Family Law, or Real Estate, our firm's success for the past 70 years has grown from a tradition of vigorous, helpful and cost-effective service to people.

Our moral commitment is to excel in all that we do. We recognize that change is inevitable and we welcome change and relish new opportunities. We move forward and bring the best of our new skills to our clients. Our values, though, do not change.

At Coen Wexler and Wentz, our clients come first. We want our clients to find the firm of Coen Wexler and Wentz synonymous with the best in professional legal services.

Actual resolution of legal issues depends upon many factors, including variations of facts and Federal and State laws. Ohio laws change daily as a result of legislation and court decisions.
